Southbound OR 43 Loop On-Ramp Connecting to I-205 Northbound in West Linn is Closed from June 2 to June 26

PORTLAND, Ore. – The loop on-ramp connecting southbound OR 43 to I-205 northbound in West Linn will close completely for 23 days in June, with a detour available. The closure begins on Friday, June 2 at 10 p.m., and ends on Monday, June 26 at 5 a.m.
During this closure, drivers will follow a detour using I-205 southbound to Exit 6 (10th Street), crossing under the freeway, and then get on I-205 northbound. This detour route has been used multiple times in the past. Signs will help guide travelers. The on-ramp to I-205 northbound from OR 43 northbound remains open, as does the off ramp from I-205 northbound to OR 43.
This closure is necessary for construction crews to work on the new roundabout that will connect OR 43 with I-205 northbound. This project is one of the critical safety components of the I-205 Improvements Project’s work around the Abernethy Bridge.

When construction is complete in 2025, the Abernethy Bridge will be the first earthquake ready interstate bridge across the Willamette River in the Portland metropolitan area.
